1. Animasyon Film İzlencesi / 1. Animated Films Broadcast - powered by Joost TV

Son günlerde sıkı bir Joost TV izleyicisi oldum. İçeriğindeki kanalların çeşitliliği, görüntü kalitesi, navigasyonun kullanışlılığı sayesinde klasik tv kanallarını izleyemez oldum. Bilgisayarımı evimdeki tv'ye bağlayarak istediğim konudaki kanalı, programı veya filmi istediğim zaman izliyorum. Tek sorun internet bağlantı hızının ara ara düşmesi ile sıkıntı yaşamam. Fakat son günlerde bu sıkıntı da azaldı. Ara sıra bağlantı hızıyla ilgili Telekom'a hoş olmayan temennilerde bulunsam da eskiye nazaran daha iyi bağlantı hızı var. Geçen ay İstanbul Modern'deki Animasyon Film Festivali'ndeki gösterim beni hayal kırıklığına uğratmıştı. Bir PC'yi projeksiyona bağlayıp internet ortamında zaten çoğunu daha önce izlemiş olduğumuz animasyonları arka arkaya göstermekten ibaret bir sosyal okazyondan öte bir şey değildi. Bunları düşünürken Joost TV'deki animasyon kanallarından bir seçki yapıp, arkadaşlarımı eve davet ederek izlemenin fena bir fikir olmadığını düşündüm. Çünkü ilgi alanınızla ilgili videoları izlerken istediğiniz anda izlediğiniz film hakkındaki bilgilere ulaşmanız, o sırada aynı videoyu izleyenlerle mesajlaşabilmeniz gibi yenilikçi özellikleri bünyesine entegre eden Joost TV, daha önce yaşamadığımız deneyimler sunuyor. Gösterime davet ettiğim kişi sayısı evimin büyüklüğü ile doğru orantılı olduğu için böyle bir buluşmaya ilgi göstereceğini düşündüğüm arkadaşlarımı davet edebiliyorum. :) Aslında kısaca yapmaya çalıştığım şey kahve, çay, içki ve çerez eşliğinde "evde film festivali" organizasyonu. Olaya matraklık katması için yukarıdaki "flyer"ı hazırladım ve buna "1. Animasyon Film İzlencesi / powered by Joost TV" dedim. Bu ilk gösterimde "Vancouver Film School" öğrencilerin bitirme projelerini (Yaklaşık 30 kısa animasyon film) ve 2007'nin en beğenilen animasyon kısa filmleri toplu gösterimini (yaklaşık 20 kısa film) izleyeceğiz. Eğer eğlenceli olursa "kısa film gösterimleri" ile devam etmeyi düşünüyorum.

"Lately I've been hooked on Joost TV. The variety of channels, the high resolution quality along with the useful navigation offered by Joost, I can't really watch the classic TV channels anymore. I mean, how can I when I can watch whatever channel, program or movie I want, whenever I want, simply by connecting my computer to the TV. The only problem, well, is the slow internet connection interrupting the speed of the stream. But even that has been getting better lately. Even though I still curse Turkish Telekom sometimes; the connection has been getting much better. Last month I went to see the Animation Festival at Istanbul Modern Arts Museum.Well, that turned out to be dissapointing. The whole thing turned out to be a social occasion where a projector was connected to a PC, showing animations -which we already had all seen - one after another. It would be great to have a selection of animations from Joost TV and screen them for a bunch of friends at my place I thought. You see, it's possible that the viewer will access all the information related to the chosen movie, whilst messaging the other viewers who are also connected, watching the same movie. Joost TV is a pioneer that integrates all these features while offering new experiences to its viewers. Now, the number of guests can only be as big as my place; therefore I can only consider those who I think will really get a kick out of this. So, actually what I'm trying to do here is to organize a “film festival @ home” accompanied by some coffee, tea, drinks and snacks. And to have a bit more fun, I've eve made the flyer above and called it “1. Animated Films Broadcast / powered by Joost TV”.We're going to see around 30 short animated films created by the senior students of Vancouver Film School as their major graduation projects as well as 20 others which are probably the best of 2007. Should it turn out as enjoyable as I think it will be, I will continue and make it a habit."
